Truck crashes into gas pump on Mercer Island

MERCER ISLAND, Wash. – A tree-trimming truck crashed into a pump at a gas station Thursday afternoon, igniting a fire.

Emergency dispatchers say it happened at the Chevron at 7655 Sunset Highway Southeast at about 5 p.m.

Reports indicate the fire was put under control quickly. The driver was not hurt.

There is no immediate word on what led to the crash.

no kidding.. where else can one get gouged for the highest price gas for miles around? could'a been a huge loss
