TACOMA, Wash. -- One person was killed in a shooting Thursday night and police say the suspect committed suicide.
The Tacoma Police Department says that just after 8:00 p.m., neigbhors called 911 after they heard several gunshots.
When police arrived, they found a man's body during a yard-to-yard search near the intersection of North 48th Street and North Ferdinand.
Police told neighbors to stay indoors as they searched the neighborhood for at least a couple of hours. It was later learned that the suspect killed himself in Gig Harbor.
There is no information yet about the identity of the victim or suspect and it is unclear what led up to the violence.
