MARYSVILLE, Wash. - Marysville Police are in the middle of a manhunt for 21-year-old James Fryberg.

Fryberg was supposed to be in court Monday relating the death of his girlfriend's one-year-old child. He'd been out on bond since last year. But he never showed.

Marysville Police launched a search.

With all those officers looking for him, officers say, he walked into a Haggen's Pharmacy and robbed it.

Marysville Police say a man in surveillance footage is James Fryberg. The images are moments before, investigators say, the 21-year-old robbed the pharmacy of prescription narcotics.

"We really believe it's an act of desperation. Really, this is a young man who is in big trouble and maybe he feels like he doesn't have any choices," said Marysville police commander Robb Lamoureaux.

Fryberg is already accused of causing the death of 15-month-old Damoniko Ashby - his girlfriend's little boy - in May of last year.

Fryberg claims Damoniko fell down the stairs. Detectives say an autopsy reveals otherwise. The child was reportedly beaten and bruised.

Police are working long hours to bring Fryberg in before desperation turns to more violence.

"We have a couple pro-active teams searching for him. And I know a couple other task force groups that are on the look out for James Fryberg," said Lamoureaux.

Fryberg is considered armed and dangerous. There is now a $1 million arrest warrant out for the fugitive.

Police believe he is still in the area. Anyone who sees him is advised to call 911.

Whatever happened to the word 'allege'? The investigators 'allege' that the person committed a robbery.

He robbed the pharmacy of narcotics the day he was supposed to appear in court for murdering a child. His life is pretty much over. My guess is they will find his body after he takes all the meds to kill himself.

I would like to say thanks to the 2 judges, not 1 but 2 judges that let this maggot that murdered my nephew go free to wreek havoc on other inocent people.Who lets a murderer out on 1,000,000$ bail anyways,It's there fault that this robbery has happened.I would not be sad if he took to many of the narcotics he stole!!

Again Again and again, the Courts are letting these guys go, I guess the Judge who let this guy go must be proud of himself. Such a cute little boy, someone should send his picture to the (so called) judge. When are our courts going to learn. Again I say, our legal system has failed. God bless another poor lost child, maybe these Judges are competing to see who can put the most criminals back on the street. It’s a terrible thing to say, but I do hope the police kill him. He deserves no less.

"Fryberg is considered armed and dangerous. There is now a $1 million arrest warrant out for the fugitive." Hey cops, that means shoot first then arrest. Bring him in toes up and save the taxpayers some money.

I believe fish and Game has been running Washington's criminal justice system for some time. This guy is obviously part of the "catch and release" program.
