A 26-year-old Marysville man has been arrested in the drive-by shooting death of 15-year-old Molly Conley.

Details about the arrest are unknown.  Investigators say a man was booked into Snohomish County Jail on Friday.

Conley was visiting friends in Lake Stevens June 1 when she was struck in the neck by a bullet. Several of her classmates were with her at the time.

Last week, the sheriff's office said dispatchers made reverse-911 calls to nearly 4,000 phones, seeking information that might help catch the shooter.

Detectives asked people to respond if they had video of vehicles driving in the area during the hours before and after the shooting.

Residents watched it unfold Friday. A neighbor took a picture of a man being arrested and provided it to KING 5 News.

At a home down the street, investigators carried out long white boxes, according to neighbor Lauri Manley

“I watched him open it and he would lift up a gun and tag it, put like one of those straps around it,” she said.

Some residents say police handed them a questionnaire, asking if they knew the man or had conversations with him.

Neighbors said he was quiet and kept to himself. And when police were asked about the suspect arrested - the answer was short.

“That he was just a violent person and they needed to get him off the road,” said Sandra Torres.

People wondered if the arrest is connected to the Lake Stevens drive-by. For now investigators are not saying.
