TACOMA, Wash. - Police have arrested a man who allegedly made threats to shoot officers.

According to police, the incident began as a domestic disturbance call in unincorporated Pierce County early Tuesday morning. The caller told police the man was headed to Tacoma and had said if police tried to get him he had an AK-47 rifle and would kill them.

Officers caught up with the suspect near Pearl Street and Sixth Avenue in Tacoma at around 4 a.m.

After a short car chase, police say the suspect bailed out of his vehicle and ran into a nearby apartment complex. Officers convinced him to surrender about an hour later.

Police say the suspect did not have a weapon.

A threat to any police officer should be dealt with on an individual basis and treated accordingly.

stryker - you troll - LE is much more cautious, and have to take every claim seriously. You don't know - she may have just been repeating what he told he. She probably had no way of knowing if he was serious, had a weapon, etc. Your hate for LE is so profound, I can't help but think you've been caught more than once, and in true idiot manner, refuse to accept responsibility for your actions and blame it on the police. Grow up - Man (or woman) up!

So... SHE LIED, just to get him into trouble. Nice. Not even a news story. King5 EXCLUSIVE, woman makes unsubstantiated claims and lies to the police to get boyfriend into trouble.
