SALT LAKE CITY -- The husband of missing Utah mom Susan Cox Powell says her parents are turning the couple's children against him.
Josh Powell filed a court declaration this week in Pierce County asking the 4- and 6-year-old boys to be moved to a neutral caretaker. He says Chuck and Judy Cox, who have custody, have an "irrational vendetta" against him that's putting stress on the boys.
Susan Powell vanished in December 2009 at age 28. Josh Powell has been named a person of interest but denies involvement in his wife's disappearance.
The boys were living with their father and grandfather before the grandfather was arrested on voyeurism and child pornography charges.
Cox attorney Ann Bremner tells the Deseret News the Coxes are providing a safe home for the boys.
