Worried the summer weather is over? Don't be.

Sunshine is expected to return, starting Tuesday, and temperatures will rise over the next few days. There's only a slight chance of lingering showers today, mainly north of Seattle.

High temperatures on Tuesday will be in the mid and upper 60s around the Puget Sound.

Thursday should be the warmest day of the week, with temperatures possibly in the low 80s. Friday is expected to cool slightly, but stay sunny.

While scattered clouds will make an appearance throughout the week, no precipitation is expected.

Rainfall Sunday, September 9, ended 48 days without any precipitation. This was just shy of the record 51 days recorded in 1951.
