GOLD BAR, Wash. - Former Snohomish County Fire District 26 assistant fire chief Isaac Howard is running for a seat on the district's board of commissioners.

The district serves the community in and around Gold Bar in Snohomish County.

Howard was fired earlier this year, after multiple women at the department said they had sexual relationships with him. Some of the women claim Howard sexually harassed them and made threats of violence.

Now Howard and his daughter, Heather Chadwick, are running for two of five seats on the fire commission. The commission has the authority to hire and fire employees, including the chief, Eric Andrews, who recommended Howard's termination.

Bert McClellan, who's being challenged by Chadwick told KING 5, "I think all it is, is some kind of vendetta."

Howard says that's not true.

He says the department is wasting money and he wants to bring accounability to the board of commissioners.

One of the women who says she was harassed by Howard, is now suing the fire district for $1 million.
