SEATTLE – The King County Prosecutor's Office on Tuesday released photos connected to the murder of Seattle Police Officer Timothy Brenton.

In one photo, we see Brenton's police cruiser, including bullet holes from a .223-caliber rifle and broken glass. Spent bullets can be seen on the street.

Investigators also took photos of scratches and marks on the driver's side door.

Officer Brenton was shot and killed while sitting in his patrol car on Oct. 31, 2009. Someone drove up alongside the car and opened fire.

Training Officer Britt Sweeney was also in the car -- she jumped out and fired ten shots, striking the suspect's vehicle.

Christopher Monfort is charged with Brenton's murder. He was shot and wounded in a Tukwila apartment on the same day a public memorial was held for Officer Brenton. Monfort could face the death penalty if convicted.
