As if being nominated for an Oscar weren't enough, the stars also get a gift bag worth more than $50,000. And a small Seattle business will be part of it.
Dr. Amy Swartz is a civil engineer-turned-holistic-chiropractor-turned-entrepreneur.
Her products called Epic Pet are a combination of vitamins and minerals specifically designed for your pets common problems like anxiety, skin issues and aging bones.
"I knew there were other desperate pet owners like me who needed something," Dr. Swartz said.
She got the idea while trying to help her now 20-year-old dog, Lucas. Owners can spray the products right on their dog or cat or spray the solution into the food or water.
Last month, Dr. Swartz got an invitation to take things to a new level by including her products in the Oscar gift bag.
Each bottle of Epic Pet spray retails $20-$36, but she gave more than $1,500 worth of products and services in each swag bag.
As you might expect, Dr. Swartz is now making a human line of some of these products.
