SEATTLE - On February 22 at about 7:11 p.m., officers heard shots fired near the light rail tracks at MLK Way South and South Winthrop Street.

They discovered a 24-year-old man who had sustained a gunshot wound to the arm.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

A suspect vehicle was seen fleeing the scene. That vehicle is described as a green, mid-1990's Chevy Impala with large, shiny chrome rims and tinted windows.

There is no suspect description available at this time.

The suspect and the vehicle remain at large.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police.

Is Seattle becoming more and more violent or has it always been this way? I haven't been here that long... In my country, people use violence when they are violated by others without provocation and without a peaceful resolution. There are certain things that a person should not have to endure. Give respect and get respect. Violate someones rights and dignity and you're in a world of hurt!
