PUYALLUP, Wash. -- After hours of searching, Puyallup Police have located the man who they say crashed into a vehicle and fled on foot late Saturday night.

Police say Joshua Steiger was taken into custody around 6 a.m. at what appears to be his residence in Pierce County.

Around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, police say Steiger crashed into another vehicle in the area of 2nd Street NE and E. Stewart St. He then fled the scene. Two people in the vehicle were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police from multiple agencies searched the area throughout the night for Steiger.

Steiger will be booked into the Pierce County Jail for vehicular assault.
