Tribes from all over the country are taking part in the annual Seafair Pow Wow this weekend in Discovery Park.
Hundreds of dancers and 30 drum groups are participating..
The United Indians Of All Tribes Foundation has hosted the pow wow for the past 27 years, but the non-profit group had to miss Seafair last year because of money problems..
So, members were determined to hold the pow wow this year.
"For months and months they've been working. I've seen grandmas, aunties and uncles that have been here nonstop, 24 hours a day, trying to make sure it happens,” said Minty Longearth, Santee Indian Nation, South Carolina
The gathering also features Native American arts and crafts and traditional food. It's open to the public and runs through Sunday
