SEATTLE – One person is under arrest after a bank robbery turned into a standoff at a University District home Tuesday afternoon.

A Key Bank branch in the 400 block of Westlake Avenue around 2:30 p.m.  A short time later, police had surrounded a home in the area of Brooklyn Avenue Northeast and Northeast 52nd Street.

At least one suspect surrendered. It's unclear if others are still at large.

Police searched the home after the standoff ended. Neighbors were kept away from the scene during the investigation.

For most jobs you have to have a diploma or GED, many even some sort of degree. Apparently these requirements do not apply to journalism. It is a shame that a job which relies exclusively on people reading what it is you write, does not bother to proof read even the shortest of stories.
