KENT – They are in every single classroom across the district.
The District says SMARTBoards have revolutionized how teachers interact with their students. Kent says it has phased in the use of almost 1,800 of the boards, which act like giant tablets in the class room.
The fully connected, multi-touch screens allow students to illustrate and interact during classroom lessons.
There is data which proves their point. Test trends show key numbers are up for students at Kent Meridian High School and Scenic Hill Elementary, since the boards were installed after a 2006 technology levy.
