OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Republican presidential contenders Rick Santorum and Ron Paul are returning to Washington state to hold rallies in the days leading up to Saturday's caucuses.
State party chairman Kirby Wilbur says that Santorum will be in Eastern Washington on Thursday, with rallies in Spokane and either the Tri-Cities or Walla Walla. Paul will be in Seattle Friday evening, Wilbur said. Mitt Romney is already scheduled to have a fundraiser in Bellevue on Thursday.
Santorum and Paul both visited the state earlier this month, and Newt Gingrich was in the state last week. All are in a crowded primary race, with primaries Tuesday in Arizona and Michigan. Washington state's caucus falls the weekend before the Super Tuesday vote that includes 10 states.
