A 5K in Redmond raised nearly $6,000 for the American Heart Association.
The organizer of the event was Redmond High School student Nadia luqman, who was born with a heart defect.
"It's rewarding because I get to see the work I do and the outcome of it. So when I go talk to kids or when I go do events, I get to see how it comes out after that, so it makes me feel like I'm really making a difference,” she said.
The Redmond high school leadership team now led the run.
There were more than 200 runners.
