SEATTLE -- Park officials say the body of Mount Rainier climbing ranger Nick Hall likely won't be recovered until later this week.
Spokesman Rick Jones says the next window of promising weather appears to be late Wednesday or Thursday.
The 33-year-old Hall died June 21 when he fell 2,500 feet while helping rescue four climbers from Waco, Texas, after two of them fell into a crevasse at the 13,800-foot level of the mountain.
Poor weather and high avalanche risk since then have prevented climbing rangers from recovering Hall's body off the mountain via helicopter.
Hall, a four-year climbing ranger originally from Patten, Maine, was remembered at a memorial service June 29.
