A motorcyclist died in a crash Tuesday night near Port Angeles after a high speed chase with a state trooper.
Bjorn Larsen, 35, of Port Angeles died after his motorcycle went over a 20 foot embankment on Deer Park Road.
Trooper Travis Beebe, 37, attempted to stop Larsen for speeding. The pursuit started at 7:50 p.m. and ended just a few minutes later near milepost 6 when Larsen's 1981 Honda CB650 motorcycle failed to negotiate a left turn.
According to WSP, both Larsen and Beebe's vehicles went over the embankment. Larsen died when he was ejected from his motorcycle.
Beebe's patrol car rolled, but he was not seriously injured.
WSP said chase speeds reached 90 miles per hour.
