Seattle Police swarmed Swedish Medical Center Cherry Hill Thursday morning looking for man reportedly armed with a rifle.
After an hour search, nothing was found.
A witness called police at 9:30 a.m. claiming to have seen a man around holding a long gun, either a rifle or shotgun, in the parking garage at 16th Avenue and Jefferson Street.
The garage was placed into lockdown while SWAT officers searched cars and stairwells.
Swedish officials said the witness is a contractor for the hospital, calling him "credible" due in part to a specific suspect description provided to police.
Swedish was in lockdown for 90 minutes while hospital security staff checked the facility for anything suspicious.
The Swedish Cherry Hill campus is located less than a mile from the main hospital on First Hill.
