Police release suspect sketch in rape of 80-year-old Kirkland woman

Kirkland police are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect who sexually assaulted an 80-year-old woman in Kirkland.

Police released a sketch of the suspect, based on the description given by the victim.

The assault happened around 11:45 a.m. October 25 in the Juanita neighborhood. The victim was walking home from a bus stop when she was attacked outside her home and forced inside by the suspect.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male, 5’ 7” to 5’ 9” tall with a medium build in his early 20’s with a “long skinny face." The victim added the suspect had smooth skin and a very thin build.

The suspect may have been wearing tan or brown Dockers pants along with a waist length brown coat. The suspect wore a golf/newsboy style cap the victim described as dark brown, smooth with no seams and possibly made of leather.
