FLORENCE, Ore. - Police have captured a convicted felon wanted in connection with the rape of a woman at knifepoint in Covington, Wash.

Police say John Alan Carter was found in Florence, Ore.

King County Sheriff's deputies say Carter, 51, lured a woman he met through Narcotics Anonymous to a home in Covington, where he raped her at knifepoint.

He then forced the woman to drive to a Renton 7-11 to withdraw money from a cash machine before taking off in her Jeep Liberty.

The Jeep was found abandoned in Medford, Ore., last week.

Carter was on community supervision at the time of the attack after serving two years on a third degree assault conviction

Hooray! Sounds like good police work in apprehending a very dangerous felon. Now, if the justice system will only lock this creep up for a goodly long while and not let him back out on "community supervision"!!
