KENT – A 28-year-old Renton man is held on $250,000 bail for what police said was his role in a deadly shooting.

Witnesses said a fight broke out inside the Sports Page Tavern in Auburn early Sunday morning, and spilled into the parking lot.  Several shots were reportedly fired, and three people were killed.

Friends and family identified Lorenzo Duncan, and two other men, 25-year old Nick Lindsay and 21-year-old Antuan Greer, as targets.

However, the defense attorney for the Renton man, a convicted felon, says he may have been acting in self defense on behalf of one of the victims. The attorney also claimed in court that his client was a former lottery winner.  He was held on suspicion of reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, a fourth person was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds.

The owner of the Sports Page Tavern, Joe Mahoney, reopened his business on Monday. He said he felt awful about the shooting, but claimed it was not indicative of his business. Mahoney says he is cooperating with police.
