One-on-one with Gloria Steinem

A major historical figure in the women's movement, author and activist Gloria Steinem, came to Seattle Thursday to support the work of the YWCA. Steinem has been a leader for 40 years and has not lost her fire to change the world. And though many young people today don't know who she is, she says that is not what matters.

She has not lost her fire and her beauty. She's still a beautiful woman, just as Jean Enersen is. It's good to know that they are both healthy and making great contributions to our world. Compared to Gov. Gregoire... They are SAINTS!

Coincidentally, my page a day calendar yesterday quoted Gloria Steinem as saying, "I have yet to hear a man ask for advice on how to combine marriage and a career." So true!

Women have choices!! I chose to stay at home and be a domestic woman...it is very hard work...no financial benefits, no retirement..but the benefits are: adult children lovingliy dedicated to marriage and parenting , that's enough for me~!
