PERUGIA, Italy - There’s a new development in the Italian murder trial of former University of Washington Amanda Knox.

The man already convicted in the killing of Meredict Kercher is appealing.

Rudy Guede testified today that he heard Knox arguing with Kercher about money before she was killed.

Guede says when he found Kercher bleeding,he  panicked and fled.

He was arrested in Germany and linked to the crime by fingerprints and DNA. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

The prosecutor said Guede's story is not credible and his conviction should stand.

A verdict in the separate trial of Knox and her former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito is expected next month.
