SEATTLE – More allegations of police brutality are surfacing in response to video of Seattle police stomping on a Latino suspect and using racially charged words.

Martin Minetti, 21, has been identified as the man on the video being stomped on by Det. Shandy Cobane during the robbery investigation near Lake Union on April 17.

Minetti was ultimately let go. Two other men, Pedro Jose Martinez and Hector Veteta-Contreras, were arrested and charged with first-degree robbery that night.

Martinez' girlfriend, Alejandra Hurtado, says both those men were victims, too.

"Hector was also another victim. Hector and Pedro Jose are the ones who are locked up. Hector was the one that was mostly hit, more than Martin, more than anybody was, to the point that he was limping," said Hurtado.

Hurtado says Martinez and Veteta-Contreras are innocent and that they were simply picked out because they were Latino and happened to be in the area of the robberies. She also says police never recovered the machete that Martinez allegedly used during the robberies or the gun that one of the suspects allegedly had on him.

Veteta-Contreras, 23, has no criminal record.

One of the robbery victims tells KING 5 he recognized Minetti in the video as being with the men who tried to rob him.
