Navy research vessel, being built in Anacortes, to be named for Neil Armstrong

Dr. Susan K. Avery, president and director of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, welds the keel at an authentication of the Keel Ocean-class Research Vessel AGOR 27 at an Aug. 17 ceremony in Anacortes, Wash. The Navy announced that the ship will be named after the late Neil Armstrong.
