Sounder Northline service between Everett and Seattle is canceled Tuesday and Wednesday thanks to yet another mudslide along the tracks.
According to BNSF, there have been 73 slides along this section of track since Thanksgiving, the most recent happening last night, just as service was getting back to normal after being canceled for much of the holiday period.
More rain, expected on Tuesday, could prompt even more slides.
Commuters voiced frustration with the latest series of cancellations.
“Driving -- I prefer not to. I hoping this is still a reliable option. I'm hoping they have some solutions to keep this a viable option,” said Eric Pierce, a Sounder commuter.
Sound Transit is adding more buses and trips with express service from the Everett station to Seattle for Tuesday’s morning commute. Buses will leave every 10 minutes.
Amtrak Cascades service between Seattle and Everett was also disrupted by the mudslide.
