WHIDBEY ISLAND. Wash. - A body found on the shores of Whidbey Island Friday afternoon is that of an Everett man, and police believe it was the same body spotted last Thursday near the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal.

The South Whidbey Record reports a person discovered the body of the 97-year-old man on the shore of Mutiny Bay Road near Old Beach Road at 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Detectives reportedly say the man drowned and that they believe it was suicide.

Several people saw a body floating near the Mukilteo terminal last Thursday, disrupting ferry traffic for a couple of hours while police and the Coast Guard searched for it.

Poor guy. At 97 his possible suicide was most likely a way to ease his suffering. RIP.

Society & government look down on an individual's right to be responsible for his own life and when & how to end it. Rather than having supporting & loving friends around when it is time to go, folks are forced to hide and spend their last moments alone. Shame on those who wish to impose their desires on others.
