The Pierce County Sheriff's Department is investigating the disappearance of 17-year-old Maliika Andrus.

The teen, who has mental disabilities, was reported missing Sunday morning. It's believed she walked away from a group home in the 18400 block of South Tapps Dr. E. in the Bonney Lake area.

Andrus was last seen by staff members at approximately 6:20 a.m. on Sunday. Staff members believe she tampered with an alarm on her bedroom window and left the facility at 6:35 a.m.
