TACOMA, Wash. -  Lakewood Mayor Doug Richardson says officials worried the killer of four police officers would target other officers while he was on the run.

Richardson testified Tuesday in Tacoma in the trial of Latanya Clemmons, sister of Maurice Clemmons who shot the four officers last November at a Parkland coffee shop and was killed in Seattle two days later. She's charged with rendering criminal assistance by paying for a motel room and bus fare to Arkansas for alleged getaway driver Darcus Allen.

Her lawyer says LaTanya Clemmons didn't know Allen was wanted at the time.

Prosecutors are reportedly wrapping up their case. After defense witnesses, the case could go to the Pierce County Superior Court jury on Thursday.
