Public's help needed in locating missing Mason County man

The Mason County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating a missing man.

Steven Lawrence, 41, was last seen wearing jeans, a blue t-shirt, brown leather shoes and a black Carhartt jacket. He has brown hair and eyes, is approximately 5'9" and weighs 175 lbs.

His family says he left his home in Lilliwaup, Wash. on Tuesday afternoon with $150 and some food. He may be carrying a machete.

According to family members, Lawrence hears voices in his head.

Lawrence left a note that said he is "going to Milwaukie to have a face-to-face with the director of the FBI."

Anyone with information about his location should contact 911, or the MCSO at (360) 427-7761 and reference case no. 14-07136.
