STANWOOD, Wash. -- Police arrested a man who jumped on an excavator and vandalized a Stanwood business.

It happened early Friday morning shortly after 3 a.m. at a landscaping and construction supply company.

Police arrested the suspect after he tipped the excavator and got trapped inside. Investigators aren't sure about his motive. One woman said what she saw after calling police.

"I went out on my deck and at that point is when they were winding around the trailer house and smashing it and the outhouse and then pieces of equipment. Things were being swung and flung and smashed," said the witness.

Investigators estimate the vandalism spree caused about $10,000 in damage.
