A Lynnwood man remains jailed in North Korea, convicted for alleged hostile acts against the government.

Kenneth Bae was sentenced last week to 15-years of hard labor.

University of Washington Korean Studies professor Dr. Clark Sorensen told KING5's Mark Wright that Bae could face a difficult future if he is sent to one of the country's labor camps.

In the meantime Dennis Rodman, who visited North Korean President Kim Jung-Un in February, today appealed for Bae's release.

"I'm calling on the Supreme Leader f North Korea, or as I call him, 'Kim,' to do me a solid and cut Kenneth Bae loose," Rodman tweeted.
