The driver is obviously not from this area. Brummers is a dangerous road in any type of weather. I'm sure Tukwila had this road closed and the driver didn't pay attention. Just glad everyone survived and is ok today.

Let me get this straight, Snow Hill Seattle driver = Damage to car. This driver should have looked at the hill and went another way, But no, the city didnt close the road so its open, right, and once more, no common sence here.

If accidents are not preventable, come up with one unpreventable accident. Everything is preventable other than death.

To people in Tukwila this hill is known as "Bremers" & there WAS a "Road Closed" sign at the top - they didn't see it or ignored it. I saw a Semi start sliding halfway down this hill in (2007?) when we had all that snow before they were able to close it. This hill is dangerous in moderate conditions - but they obviously weren't going slow enough. (to give the person the benefit of the doubt - maybe they lived on the hill & were trying to get home... there are a lot of houses on that street... but then again they could have just parked at the Jr High School parking lot at the top & walked....) none-the-less this would be terrifying, I've had nightmares my whole life about falling down this hill (in a bike, skateboard, rollerblades, car, sled etc) - it is increadibly steep.

Driver using not so good judgment but I have to ask, Why was the street not closed? Did we run out of street barriers? Orange barrels? Hate to think that this could have been avoided by the city thinking for those who obviously have the brain of a gnat.

That was probably pretty exciting for a few minutes.

Silly Willy not only has a wrecked car but, if there was any damage to the rail, it will be their responsibility too. Why try driving up a "very steep hill" in this weather is beyond comprehension. SW probably regrets trying it. If this person was in a hurry, didn't do any good. Glad no one was hurt.

It's sad to see anyone wreck there vehicle! But what were U thinking there Slick? Anyone on a steep snow covered road is not the brightest bulb in the box 'that's for sure' what I gather !

why did they call this an accident? Accidents aren't preventable. This person, i'm sure was at top of the snowy hill, & made a judgement call & proceeded down, without the experience & without the proper vehicle to do so on. And one look at their bald tires pretty much sums it up. This was NO accident, it looks like a drunk driver to me, even if they were sober, their brain still made all the wrong decisions.

I've driven that hill in Tukwila many times through the years, both up and down, and it's horrendous! One of the steepest hills around; a lot like the McClellan hill on Beacon Hill. To attempt either in this kind of weather is foolish at best.
