The sister of the man who killed four Lakewood police officers walked out of jail Monday after serving half of her five year sentence.
Maurice Clemmons shot and killed the officers at a Parkland coffee shop in November 2009. Latanya Clemmons was convicted of helping Maurice’s getaway driver elude police.
Latanya was released early for good behavior.
Latanya’s conviction was overturned by a state appeals court last month, but Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist says he plans to appeal that decision to the state Supreme Court.
