A Lacey home is unlivable after a truck veered off a busy road and plowed into a bedroom wall.

Five people were sleeping inside, including four children.

The accident happened at 4500 Ruddell Rd SE around 11:30 Friday night.

“All the kids were asleep on the bed. They were on the bed with grandma. We’re so lucky," Thu Lee said.

Lee, her husband, mother, and four kids are currently staying at a motel.

Across the street on December 14, 2010, a similar accident killed a teenage boy when a driver ran a stop sign.

“Same crash, bang, boom,” neighbor Jevon Frost remembers.  “These people I felt horrible for. That was horrible.”

Lee and her family no longer want to live at the intersection for fear they may not be so lucky if it ever happens again.

They remember the accident in 2010.

“Ran into his bedroom and killed him. I was awake. I saw everything,” Lee said. “Now we’re really scared. We don’t want to live here anymore.”

The Red Cross tells KING 5 they will help them with shelter and food.

There were no injuries.
