KIRKLAND, Wash. - The Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce is working with several downtown businesses to host its first ever Fall Fashion Show. The event kicks off Thursday night at seven o'clock.
A portion of the money raised will go toward the Washington Scholarship Foundation.
Some businesses also hope the fashion show will draw more customers to downtown Kirkland.
Samantha St. John with the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce said the transition from Summer to Fall is when downtown sometimes needs a boost.
"In the summer it’s a great place to go, it’s a vibrant community, the businesses boom down here. Then in the winter time things drop off a little bit," said St. John.
Chapman Fina and her mother own a clothing store called Via Lago. Fina said a fashion show is great way for businesses to work together and draw in new customers.
