ENUMCLAW, Wash. -- Dozens of starving animals are in safe hands Thursday after being seized from an Enumclaw property. Some were in such bad shape, their ribs were showing.

King County Animal Control took away about 40 horses, a cat and a goat from the homeowner. Neighbors call her an "animal hoarder" who loves them but can't afford to take care of them.

"Thank God for this, it had to be done, this was ridiculous...you can't afford to feed them you shouldn't have them," said one neighbor.

Animal Control says that they expect to seize more animals from the property Thursday night.

So far, no charges have been filed against the owner.
