After 35 years as a reporter and commentator, Ken Scram will be leaving KOMO TV and Radio after the station bought out the remainder of his contract, The Seattle Times reports.
Holly Gauntt, vice president of News at Fisher Communications, told the Times that Schram might be able to return, but he would have to be willing to become a part-time employee.
Schram said his agent is looking into other possibilities and that he won’t make any decisions until after Christmas. He said it was hinted to him about three weeks ago that this was going to happen.
Gauntt said Schram was a radio employee, although he did occasional TV commentaries on the side. But, his afternoon radio show ended when KOMO Radio went to an all 24-hour news, weather and traffic format earlier this year.
