@klutz - It's certainly possible that this woman wrote the note her self, and it's just as possible that someone else wrote the note. Given the tools available (as i pointed out prior), and the apparent animus that folks in this region have towards the Muslim religion, I really feel that this is genuine, and I'll explain why. The quotes from the woman in the news report, they are pretty grammatically accurate, there is some extensive vocabulary used. In the note, the English portion had a grammatical error that stood out like a sore thumb, like someone with broken English, but her quotes was not in the same broken English fashion. And most importantly, if you don't trust Muslims, how can you be sure that translation is 100% accurate? You think K5 has Arabic translators standing by? I guess you got to take her word for it. Now what?

Since 9/11, few Muslims have said anything negative about Muslims taking the planes and crashing them, nor has the Muslim population said much of anything about United 93 flight where the passengers took over and crashed the plane into a field rather than a building. I dont know many Americans that have taken the time to learn to "write" in a different language. I speak some German, some French, but can hardly write any of what I can say or under-stand. Its sad that this happened, not all Americans make those type of comments. Id like to see the Muslim community say something about the SEALS killing Osama and not sit in their little community groups planning more attacks/sleeper cells to act out 10 years from now. Terrorism has been arond since 1972, starting in Munich at the Olympics. Most Americans hadnt thought about terrorism until Americans were directly affected, ie Baider-Mainhof (spelling?) in mid 70's in Germany, the cruise liner, and Navy diver, and Marine (wiki it)

Too bad... Muslims have not made themselves welcome in the United States based on their own actions. A lot of people with that Muslims would all end up being brutally murdered.... I'm just being honest here. Most people that I know hate Muslims and everything that they stand for. They go to bars and put their drinks up and say "The only good Muslim is a DEAD Muslim."

Whats important here is that we as American (especially white guys) feel guilty, and apologize. No person of another nationality would ever do anything hateful against Americans (unless it was our fault and we made them do it). Certainly no one (other than evil Americans, especially white ones) would ever fake something like this. It is beyond the collective imagination of the planet that an Arab women would ever fake something like this. To make spelling or grammatical errors in the English portion of the message while flawless executing the portion in Arabic is nothing more than the action of a devious person who hates other races and nationalities. I'm sure its a white guy that wrote this, and he is probably from Idaho. They are all like that in Idaho yah' know... :)

It sounds like this note was a plant to fuel the Muslim agenda. Calling it like I see it... #1 We (society) are so full of hate towards each other, it doesn't matter about race, color, religion or beliefs. People are so quick to call others names and berate them, no wonder why kids bully other kids, they're only following our examples. Just look at ANY comments on ANY story, seems like everyone is against everyone else. #2: It's not THAT hard to figure out how to write in Arabic, Google translator will do it for you for crying out loud. #3 I have met many Muslims from many countries and their religion is just like any others it's just that most Americans don't understand it, and by nature, we fear what is different to us.

Why are people assuming that this is NOT someone from an Arabic country? We are assuming this is fraud because only a white American would do this. We made the same assumption back in the 1960s when we believed that Communism was some monolithic entity, when the reality was the Soviets and China counldn't stand each other. It is entirely possible that someone from an Arabic country wrote this, and that they completely believe what the message says. Many Arabs don't like the negetive attention that a FEW Muslims have brought upon their race. I don't think this is fabricated at all. I think it was someone for which English is a second language, and someone who generally resents what 19 Muslim Fundamentalists brought a negetive view of their people. Whites are not the only ones who can hate (though they are very good at it.)

The note "We don't Muslims in America" (apparently the word "want" was left out) was written in English. But there was also Arabic writing, translated to say "We don't want Muslims in America. Go away." . . . . .... It wasn't me, I speak and write only in Seattle Public School English, and not very well, and I don't read, write or speak Arabic or any other language except Northwest gutter slang. Yet the Arabic was written with all the characters in place to a complete message ?? .... Sounds like an Arab wrote it, that doesn't like white people converting and polluting their religion / gene pool. ... Very suspect in many ways .......

I love that Redmond is such an open community where the majority of us enjoy and appreciate the diversity we live with every day. We accept and celebrate religious, cultural, and ethnic diversity, and it is awful that such a mean, cowardly person acted in this manner, leaving such a hateful note. I am so sorry that this woman and her innocent daughter had this experience in Redmond.
