Seattle Police did a downtown sweep to get drug dealers off the streets. But what's happened since Operation Happy Holidays was carried out last month?

Of those charged in the Seattle Police Department's Operation Happy Holiday, nearly half of the alleged drug dealers are out of jail.

Late last month, SPD carried out the big bust around Westlake Park, clearing the way for holiday shoppers downtown.

They arrested nearly 30 suspects. Of the 21 charged with drug crimes, 12 remain in jail and nine are out.

In some of the cases, the courts did grant what is called S.O.D.A. (stay out of drug area). It restricts the suspects from returning to Westlake Park.
