Free hands-on fire extinguisher training with firefighters

AUBURN, Wash. -- Dry weather has has raised the fire danger around the state and public concerns. On Wednesday, Valley Regional Fire Authority, which serves Algona, Auburn, Pacific and King County Fire District 31, is offering free hands-on fire extinguisher training sessions.

Firefighters will train attendees on how to use fire extinguishers, proper maintenance and where to store extinguishers around the house.

The public can register by calling 253-288-5800. Sessions start at 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. and will be held at Fire Station 31 on 1101 D Street Northeast in Auburn. Space is still available in the classes.
