SHELTON, Wash. -- A manager of one of Washington's state fish hatcheries has been arrested on voyeurism charges.
The 57-year-old suspect is accused of hiding a video camera inside the women's restroom at the George Adams Fish Hatchery in Hoodsport, according to the Mason County Sheriff's Office.
The restroom in which the video camera was installed is used by both the public and employees. Deputies said a victim spotted it.
The hatchery is also routinely visited by school children during field trips. Detectives worry there could be young victims.
“It would just be horrifying to me to think that a child could have been viewed in that way,” said Mason County Chief Criminal Deputy Dean Byrd.
It's not known how long the camera had been installed, or how many victims there may be.
The suspect was arrested Thursday morning. Deputies seized four computers from his home, as well as the video camera.
The suspect has been an employee with the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife for more than 30 years, and has been a supervisor for the past 24 years.
“It’s disturbing, it makes you angry,” said State Fish and Wildlife Captain Dan Brinson, who called the arrest "embarrassing."
