EVERETT, Wash - The first Boeing 747-8 freighter has left the paint hangar in Everett.

The new plane is painted white with blue accents.

It features an oversided "8" on the background of the tail, as well as as well as "747-8" on the belly.

The "light livery" will remain on the airplane until the flight-test program is completed.

The first flight is expected early next year.

After the freighter completes testing it will be fully painted before being delivered to the customer.
