Firefighters were letting a molten metal fire at Tacoma’s Atlas Foundry burn Friday morning.
A roof collapsed into the molten metal and started a two-alarm fire Thursday night. The fire later re-ignited with lots of heavy smoke.
Firefighters were letting the fire burn itself out due to the structural instability of the building.
Nobody was hurt. The cause of the roof collapse was not immediately known.
At least 40 firefighters responded to the initial call.
