The Kittitas County Public Utility District said Tuesday that 400 homes had lost power near Cle Elum after the Taylor Bridge wildfire burned down wooden poles supporting power lines.  The outage could last as long as a week.

The fire also burned through a wind farm operated by EDP Renewables North America. The company said no major damage was found at the wind farm, which is located near Ellensburg.

Power lines delivering electricity from generators at the Grand Coulee Dam pass through the area affected by the fire. No reports or warnings of power disruptions west of the Cascades were issued.
