One of the homes that slid when a massive landslide came down near Coupeville last spring was destroyed by fire on Sunday night.
More than a dozen homes on Driftwood Way were damaged or threatened by the quarter-mile slide in March, 2013.
According to Deputy Dhief Chad Michael, a call came in Sunday at 10:38 p.m. from someone who thought trees were on fire.
When firefighters arrived they found the structure was fully involved.
The road that was put in after the landslide limits access so firefighters had to use brush apparatus to fight the fire.
The house had been red tagged after the landslide.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. No one was hurt.
