Last February in Federal Way's Twin Lakes neighborhood, 10-year-old Isabel Carpenter avoided being lured into a stranger’s car as she walked home from school by running to a house, pounding on the front door and eventually calling 911

On Saturday at Renton's first Youth and Safety Fair she met face to face with the woman on the other end of that frightening 911 call.

"She kept me calm and made me try to be able to say stuff,” said Isabel.

Isabel was the star of the fair, receiving a “9-1-1 Hero Award” for her quick thinking.
