Police in Federal Way are searching for a man believed to have been involved in three recent shootings, two of which were fatal.

The most recent shooting killed a marine, George Gabriel, who was with his wife in a car getting ready to visit his mother at Mariposa Apartments in Federal Way.

"It's just, it's unreal," said his cousin, Rosa Reyes.  "It's not fair how his life was taken away.  They destroyed the whole family, they destroyed his future, his wife. his mom.  He was loved by everybody we know."

His family said the newlywed military man was killed on his birthday.

"We don't get it.  We don't understand why these people will just go around and shoot other people," said Reyes.  "You cant even walk or drive in your own parking lot because someone else is gonna shoot at you? For what?"

On Wednesday, the family gathered with neighbors and prayed inside the home belonging to Gabriel's mom.

Police believe 27-year-old Bernard Bellerouche may be involved in a shooting Monday evening in Des Moines and the shooting death of a man in Federal Way on May 7. The King County Medical Examiner's Office identified him as Demario Washington. The shooting victim in Des Moines survived, and his identity has not been released.

Federal Way police stress that Bellerouche is considered "armed and dangerous."

On Tuesday night, Valley SWAT Team served a search warrant at Barkley Ridge Apartments in Federal Way, which was the last known address of Bellerouche. He was nowhere to be found.

Police continue to investigate all three shootings. Officials are interviewing witnesses and processing the crime scenes.

Bellerouche is described as 6-foot-2, 295 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
